Comenzaron llamándose Fargo, formada por el bajista Peter "Fargo" Knorn, donde en 1973 junto con Hanno Grossmann en la guitarra, el baterista Ede Schicke (quien en las grabaciones fue reemplazado por Franky Tolle) y el vocalista Peter Ladwig, formaron lo que sería Victory, hasta 1981, Rudi Kaeding reemplaza a Tolle, quién volvería a la banda al siguiente año y Matthias Jobs tuvo un pequeño paso por la banda (antes de unirse a Scorpions). Herman Rarebell, reemplaza a Tolle, pero al poco tiempo se va de la banda para unirse a Scorpions, y Ladwig se va y lo sustituye el vocalista Charlie Huhn.

La banda siguió así hasta 1984 donde se les une el baterista Bernie van der Graaf, el guitarrista Tommy Newton y el guitarrista John Lockton. Pero por ese año, Huhn tuvo que salir de la banda, teniendo 2 reemplazos ese año, Pedro Schemm y Ted Bullet (quién luego se uniría a Thunderhead). Huhn vuelve finalmente a la banda.

Finalmente en 1985 graban su disco homónimo.

En este disco ingresa Herman Frank a la banda, reemplazando a John Lockton, que se va luego de 2 grandes presentaciones en Estados Unidos, en los Festivales, Out In The Green en Oackland que llevó 60.000 personas y Texas Jam que llevó 80.000.

En ese año el vocalista Charlie Huhn abandona la banda para unirse a Humble Pie, en su reemplazo fue Fernando Garcia, el álbum entro en 19# en la lista alemana. La banda con este disco hizo un gira con Gary Moore.

Tanto fue el éxito de este álbum que hizo una gira en América donde su primer concierto fue en Canadá.

Los temas más resaltados del disco fueron Never Satisfied y Don't Tell No Lies que contaron con el
apoyo de MTV.

La banda se reúne de nuevo el 2006 y sacan Fuel To The Fire.

Sin el vocalista Charlie Huhn porque el vivía en USA y se le hacia difícil estar en gira, por eso su reemplazo fue Jioti Parcharidis, vocalista de Human Fortress y una vez más abandona el baterista Fritz Randow siendo reemplazado por Achim Keller.

El disco trae nuevas versiones de sus temas antiguos.
